PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition containing an aromatic polymer, a molded article such as a film molded from the resin composition and a gel-like material composed of the resin composition and a solvent. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a polymer in which the main chain is composed of an aromatic polymer and at least a part of an aromatic ring in the main chain has a side chain having a terminal group represented by structural formula (wherein R1is an alkylene group in which average carbon number is 2-3; n is an integer of 1-5; R2is an alkyl group or an alkylcarbonyl group) in an amount of≥60 wt.%.
