PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine for preventing diseases and disorders of muscular tissues by administering a polypeptide which is growth, differentiation or survival factor for muscular tissues found in Vertebrata species. SOLUTION: This medicine prevents diseases and disorders of muscular cells by inducing division promotion, growth, differentiation and survival of muscular cells. The medicine comprises a specific polypeptide containing a polypeptide or a compound binding to a receptor on the muscular cells or activating a second message system of muscular cells, a receptor-binding compound and a specific polypeptide factor as active ingredients.
