PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a desired turn in quick response to the operation of a steering lever without measuring braking pressure each time when operating the steering lever. SOLUTION: This steering control device comprises lever position detecting means for detecting the operation position of the steering lever, the lever position detecting means being connected to target braking pressure setting means. The target braking pressure setting means calculates target braking pressure corresponding to an output detected by the lever position detecting means. It is also connected to average braking pressure detecting means via braking pressure detecting means for detecting braking pressure. The average braking pressure detecting means calculates an average value for the braking pressure corresponding to the position of the steering lever. The target braking pressure setting means and the average braking pressure detecting means are connected to braking pressure comparing means. The braking pressure comparing means calculates a deviation between the target braking pressure and the average value for the braking pressure and transmits the deviation to a control part for braking means.
