PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication robot for allowing a person to communicate without feeling a sense of incompatibility. SOLUTION: This communication robot 10 includes an eyeball part 76, and an eye camera 46 is arranged in the eyeball part 76. An object position such as the person and a specific object in an image acquired from the eye camera 46 is detected, and the eyeball part 76 is displaced so as to turn in the object direction. Thus, the communication robot 10 becomes a shape of adjusting a line of sight to the person or steadily gazing the object direction. The eyeball part 76 is displaced in relation to a movement of a head part 42 such as turning the line of sight in the head part 42-turning direction when a head part 42 moves. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
