<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional acoustic device that has caused an unsatisfactory speaker output when an output characteristic of a speaker is not compatible with an acoustic characteristic of an acoustic signal even in the case that the acoustic characteristic of the acoustic signal is variable. <P>SOLUTION: The acoustic device includes: an operation section 16 for selecting and setting a 5.1ch mode or a 6ch mode and setting a speaker with a different output characteristic from each mode; a DSP section 15 for revising the characteristic of the acoustic signal when the 5.1ch mode is set and outputting the acoustic signal whose characteristic is revised to each speaker; and a microcomputer 18 that controls the DSP section 15 to apply mute control to the acoustic signal from a first output 120A connected to a speaker whose output characteristic is discriminated not to be compatible with the acoustic characteristic of the acoustic signal when discriminating that the output characteristic of the speaker set at present is not compatible with the acoustic characteristic of the acoustic signal whose characteristic is revised in a mode set at present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
