<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain display quality by preventing a variation in a gap between substrates caused by sealing member lamination. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device consists of a first substrate 2 having an electrode part, a second substrate 3 opposing the first substrate 2, a colored layer group comprising multiple colored layers 83 provided on a base of the second substrate 3, a sealing member 4 for sticking the first substrate 2 to the second substrate 3 by surrounding the circumference of the colored layer group, and a liquid crystal held between the first substrate 2 and the second substrate 3.
