<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retroreflection plate functioning as a semi-transmissive reflector and capable of yielding bright display not only in the vicinity of a front but in a wider range when it is used for a semi-transmissive reflection type liquid crystal display device or a reflection type liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: Corner cubes are formed at every specified pitch on either surface of the retroreflection plate 1, and a metallic vacuum-deposited film 14 is formed on one or more inclined surfaces out of three inclined surfaces (11a, 12a and 13a or 11b, 12b and 13b) constituting the reflection surfaces of the respective corner cubes. In particular, when the plate 1 is applied to the liquid crystal display device whose display screen is to be set vertically, the film 14 is formed on the inclined surface (11a, 12b and 13b) whose normal extended to the viewing side of the liquid crystal display device forms an elevation angle to a horizontal surface in a state where the liquid crystal display device is viewed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
