<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an associative memory device which can realize high speed and is easily mounted and a repeater using the associative memory device. <P>SOLUTION: This associative memory device has a memory having an entry that is logically divided into a plurality of groups and receives data stored in the memory as a key and returns an address in which the key is stored. One retrieval instruction designates one or a plurality of the groups as retrieval targets, and retrieval results of each of the groups that has become the retrieval targets are sequentially returned. Thus the retrieval results of the plurality of groups are returned by an input of a single retrieval instruction, thereby attaining high-speed retrieval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
