PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the arrangement of a communication environment surrounding digital broadcasting or system creation such as a business in order to spread the digital broadcasting. SOLUTION: A data stream for broadcasting is configured so that a plurality of logical layers can be multiplexed. This layer is divided into a main broadcasting layer for allowing data for main broadcasting run and a plurality of sub-broadcasting layers to be used for the data broadcasting. In this case, broadcast contents having individual targets such as a piece of music, text, still image, moving image, and voice are allowed to run in each of the plurality of sub-broadcasting layers. Information for identifying each data is transmitted separately from the broadcast contents so that only necessary data can be selectively acquired at a reception side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
