PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transmit image data of a read original. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine 1 receives the number of sheets to be transmitted by operation input of a ten-key pad 14a and a menu button 14b of an operation section 14, reads by a reading section 12, and compares the number of an original with the number of sheets to be transmitted. When the number of the read original reaches the number of sheets to be transmitted, an image data of the original read and stored in an image memory 19 is automatically transmitted from a modem 20 without the operation related to the transmission, and the image data related to the read original is surely transmitted.
