PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the lowering of productivity due to an increase in the load in a paper sheet carrying section and the influence of aging. SOLUTION: Time T from when a paper sheet starting signal for driving a pick-up roller 2 is dispatched to when the tip of the paper sheet reaches a second paper sheet sensor 7 is measured, and a correction coefficient k is calculated taking the ratio of the time T and the desired value T<SB>0</SB>from when the paper sheet starting signal is dispatched to when the tip of the paper sheet reaches the second paper sheet sensor 7 as a reference value.
