PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine which can generate a tumble stream in response to an engine operating condition by preventing a liquid reservoir of a fuel near a downstream side of an intake flow control valve. SOLUTION: The intake control valve 4 is provided at an intake tube 2, and a main opening 4A for passing air is formed at an upper part of the valve 4. A sub-opening 4B having an opening area smaller than that of the opening 4A is formed at a lower end central part of the valve 4. When the vale 4 is closed, the tumble stream can be generated by the air flowing from the opening 4A. The fuel included in the air rewound by an intake channel 22 can be pushed back to the downstream side by the air flowing through the sub-opening 4B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
