PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference between a needle tip and a bobbin thread guide even if the sewing needle is deflected. SOLUTION: This bobbin case is so constituted that the bobbin 50 is stored inside a bobbin case body 42 to be set in a shuttle positioned in the lower part of a needle plate, and a bottom thread 52 wound around the bobbin 50 is drawn outside the bobbin case body 42 and guided toward a needle hole of the needle plate by the bobbin thread guide 44. The bobbin thread guide 44 is so fixed to the bobbin case body 42 that a guide part 45 converting the direction of the bobbin thread 52 is positioned in the lower part of the tip of the sewing needle, when the needle tip passes through the needle hole and reaches the bottom dead center.
