PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nursery box for drilling of paddy rice, providing a shape of a mat-shaped seedling group kept so as to be transferred to a rice transplanter when being drilled longitudinally, and enabling a prescribed number to be stably transplanted as one stump by the rice transplanter; and to provide a supplement member for the drilling in the nursery box. SOLUTION: The nursery box for the paddy rice has longitudinal drilling grooves formed by partitioning walls along positions corresponding to the positions at which the mat-shaped seedling group to be grown is raked by a transplanting tine of the rice transplanter. The drilling grooves are formed so that seeds of the rice may be put on the upper parts of the openings, and the heights may be regulated so that the upper ends of the partitioning walls stood on the bottom wall may just be covered with the upper layer surface of a soil for a seedbed.
