Device for tapping and feed of MPEG2 transport currents in digital video broadcasting (DVB) receiver, converts data format in both directions between receiver and interface

The device consists of a plug module (6) designed as CiM w.r.t. mechanical, electric, and software interfaces. Thus it controls and realizes data flow both via CI interface (3') to DVB receiver (1) with CI interface (3).It also controls, via bus interface (7), data flow to connected information processor (12). The necessary data are converted in both data flow directions. The plug module contains digital signal processor, CiM control bus (16), and CI logic for standardized communication.
