<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve brittleness caused by laser beam reflection by Cu and weld cracks of Mo or W which have been a difficult problem of the laser beam welding of Cu with Mo or Cu with W. <P>SOLUTION: In order to perform laser beam butt-welding of Cu2 with Mo3 or Cu2 with W3, beam irradiation is performed onto a position deviated from a butted surface by a range of 0 to 1 mm to the Mo side in order to eliminate high laser beam reflection of Cu. Further, in order to reinforce the cracks of Mo or W after the laser beam welding, the laser beam welding is performed by applying loads 7 and 8 in the butt-direction to the butted surface, or by placing the powder or foil of a metal other than Mo or W on the butted surface or in the vicinity thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
