摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep down the height dimension of a battery pack including a cooling device and to efficiently and uniformly cool each rechargeable battery. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling medium passage 10 passing a cooling medium in a horizontal direction orthogonal to the vertical direction is formed between the rechargeable batteries 2, 2 in the battery pack 1 constituted by parallel arrangement of the rechargeable batteries 2. A cooling medium feeding means 11 feeding the cooling medium toward the cooling medium passage 10 is provided, and the height dimension of the battery pack 1 containing the cooling device is kept down. Furthermore, each rechargeable battery 2 is uniformly cooled by having the cooling medium feeding means 11 constituted from a pair of cooling medium conducting ducts 12a and 12b which are installed on both the right and the left sides of the battery pack 1, in which feeding openings 13 are formed so that the cooling medium is alternately fed to each cooling medium passage 10 and a cooling medium pressure feeding means 14 feeding the cooling medium to both the cooling medium conducting ducts 12a and 12b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
