<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and its driving method that realize light emission of a light emitting element with constant luminance without any influence of secular changes, accurate gradation representation, fast writing of a signal current to respective pixels, and suppression of influence of noise such as a leak current. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel is provided with pairs of switch parts and current source circuits. The plurality of switch parts each is switched under the control of a digital video signal and when the switch part is turned on, a light emitting element emits light with a current supplied from the current source circuit corresponding to the switch part. A current supplied from one current source circuit to the light emitting element is constant and the value of the current flowing to the light emitting element corresponds to the value obtained by summing up currents supplied from all current source circuits corresponding to switch parts in a conduction state to the light emitting elements respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
