PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner surface inspection method and an inner surface inspection apparatus in a cylindrical body for electrophotographs for stably detecting even an application liquid adhering, in an irregular state, onto irregular patterns on the inner surface of the cylindrical body for electrophotographs without scratching a body to be inspected without any contact. SOLUTION: The inner surface of the cylindrical body 1 for electrophotographs where no application liquids adhere to the inner surface is irradiated with light within a range including distance to be inspected in the axial direction of the cylindrical body for electrophotographs from projection means 4, 5. Light that is reflected on the inner surface of the cylindrical body for electrophotographs is received by light receiving means 6, 7. The quantity of light within a specific time is stored as a quantity-of-reflection-light value at a normal section. Then, a circumferential direction in a part to be inspected on the inner surface of the cylindrical body 1 for electrophotographs to be inspected is scanned and light is emitted from the projection means 4, 5. Light being reflected on the inner surface of the cylindrical body for electrophotographs is received by the light receiving means 6, 7 and is stored as a quantity-of-reflection-light value for each unit time.
