PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tine for coring, discharging soil cores well at coring without easily causing breakage, and freely corresponding to a required size of a holding part of a tine holder in a punch. SOLUTION: The tine for the coring is constituted of an insertion cylinder part 1 and the holding part 2 positioned at the upper part thereof. The holding part 2 is constituted so as to have a two-step structure of a small-diameter part 2a at the upper part and a large-diameter part 2b at the lower part. The insertion cylinder part 1 has a side opening part 6 widely opened in the side part. The insertion cylinder part 1 also has a small inner diameter part 4 having an inner diameter slightly smaller than a standard inner diameter part 3 at the upper part, and formed at the lowest part. The boundary of the small inner diameter part 4 and the standard inner diameter part 3 at the upper part is formed stepwise. The insertion cylinder part 1 has a wedge part 5 at the lowest part, and a wedge part 5 is formed by removing the lower part of the insertion cylinder part 1 from both of the sides to a virtual diameter line at the lower end so as to form the wedge.
