The intermediate gear for the reverse speed (1) in a gearbox with a drive shaft and co-axial output shaft (2) and intermediate shaft (4) for an auxiliary drive is located above an imaginary plane (A) spanned by the axes of a secondary drive shaft (3) driving the intermediate gear and the output shaft. With a horizontal alignment of this plane the secondary drive shaft lies to the right of the output shaft in the direction of travel.
