Cellular method for identifying modulators of target molecules, useful in screening for pharmaceuticals, from effects of test compounds on both cell growth and reporter expression

A cellular method for identifying compounds (I) that can modify the activity of a target molecule (II) which affects cell replication, is new. At least one cell, containing a reporter gene (RG) is treated with test compounds, then both cell replication and activity of the RG product (III) are determined.
