摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation device and an evaluation method of spatial propagation characteristics of light which can evaluate a spatial change and a temporal change of an optical path by excluding swing of a transmission head as necessary. <P>SOLUTION: An optical beam from an optical source is reflected at a screen, and the reflected light is captured by an image receiving camera fixed on a transmission head on which the optical source is provided. The distance between the image receiving camera and the optical source can be changed, a position of the optical beam on the screen is measured by the image receiving camera by using a marker provided very near to the screen, and an optical path dependence of a light spatial propagation is measured. Alternatively, a pulse optical beam is irradiated on an afterglow screen, a position of an afterglow spot on the screen is measured by the image receiving camera fixed on the transmission head in the same way as the above, and the temporal change of the light spatial propagation is measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
