PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative building plate, little influenced by a background color and having a full-color printing layer exhibiting a desired hue. SOLUTION: This decorative building plate 1 has a full-color printed layer 14 on a design surface 12 of a ceramic building plate 11. A background color of the same or approximate hue as the hue mostly used in a color pattern exhibited in the full color printed layer 14 is colored on the design surface 12. After that, color ink with the hues of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black is impacted according to the previously created full-color print data to perform full-color printing, thereby forming a full-color printing layer 14.
