PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and properly indicate a desired element regardless of a change in a structured document when the prescribed element is indicated in the structured document.

SOLUTION: An indication information generating system includes: a difference calculating part 20 for calculating a difference between the structured documents; and an X-path updating part 30 for generating indication information which indicates a corresponding part in the other structured document from indication information which indicates a prescribed part in the prescribed structured document, based on information concerning the difference calculated by the difference calculating part 20.
