PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling surface mounted luminaire attaching device which can be attached to a conventional ceiling rosette without a collar and a ceiling rosette with a collar. SOLUTION: The ceiling surface mounted luminaire attaching device is provided with an adapter body 2 attached to a luminaire body 1, and a hook plug 4 detachably attached to the lower face of the ceiling rosette 3 fixed to a ceiling. A hole 5 for fitting in the hook plug 4 is formed in the adapter body 2. A plurality of attaching pawls 6 energized in protruding directions are provided on the inner circumferential face of the hole 5 so as to freely protrude and withdraw. A collar 12' capable of engaging with the attaching pawls 6 is formed on the outer circumference of the hook plug 4. When inner ends of the attaching pawls 6 are pressed from above, the attaching pawls 6 withdraw into the adapter body 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
