PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for radioactive waste preventing a leakage of the radioactive waste and allowing smooth handling of the radioactive waste after a prescribed storage period. SOLUTION: The storage device H is provided with a tank T for storing the radioactive waste S, and a holding part 1 arranged to surround the radioactive waste S inside the tank T and reversibly changeable into a sol state and a gel state depending on the temperature.
