PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of gravestones etc., which is capable of shortening the working hours by cleanly washing the gravestone etc., by a washer using high-temperature water and does not pollute the environment by a washing liquid, such as a detergent. SOLUTION: The method of cleaning the gravestone etc., is characterized in that it comprises a combination, consisting of a step of removing the dust sticking to the surface of the gravestone (1) by a brush or the like, a step of curing a cinerarium (X) with curing materials (2), such as tapes, to prevent water from entering the same, a step of laying a sheet material (3) around the gravestone, a step of disposing the high-temperature washer (4) for jetting the high-temperature water by a nozzle (4a) to the gravestone (1), a step of thoroughly wiping the gravestone (1) with a dry towel after washing, and a step of coating the dried gravestone (1) with a fluorine material (5).
