PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating waste efficiently and economically and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The method of treating waste such as garbage including a pre-drying process for drying a fed raw garbage, a water absorption process for supplying water to the dried raw material, and a post-drying process for drying the water-absorbed raw material, and the apparatus for the method are provided.
