PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste coating apparatus which suppresses the temperature rise of paste due to friction heat even if a roller is rotated at a high speed to keep the viscosity of the paste constant and coats an object to be coated with the paste stably for a long time. SOLUTION: The paste coating apparatus 1 is equipped with a roller 2 having a rim-like outer peripheral part 2b, a paste supply mechanism for supplying the paste to the outer peripheral part 2b to form a paste layer 4 and a coating position setting mechanism 6 for setting the relative position of the roller 2 and an object 7 to be coated so as to bond the paste to the surface of the object 7.
