The aim of the invention is to provide the infantryman with an increased and variable field of action from secure cover without making a worthwhile target of him for the enemy as a result of the given future communication system equipment, whereby said infantryman is given an additional piece of equipment in the form of a remote controllable function support, in particular for reconnaissance and marking measures in dangerous areas outside the cover, which may be deployed as required and where still functioning may be retrieved and taken to another deployment location by the infantryman.
