A process for preparation of surfaces with selfcleaning properties by application of nano particles to the surface, where hills separated by 20 nm to 100 micron of height 20 nm to 100 micron are produced, and the nano particles are applied dry by electrostatic spraying of powder particles with a spray gun is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a selfcleaning surface obtained as above; (2) an object with a surface as described above and below, including films, practical use objects, sports articles, textiles, clothing items, and advertising material.
