ARTIFICIAL HIP JOINT HEAD WITH CORROSION-RESISTANCE

PURPOSE: An artificial bipolar hip joint head is provided to ensure easy and assembly and disassembly and have improved corrosion-resistance by adopting double structure of liners and using alumina ceramic material in production of the liners. CONSTITUTION: The hip-joint comprises an outer head in hemi-spheral form and attached to pelvic bone(8); an inner liner(10) jointed inside the outer head; an inner head(5) having one end entered the inner liner(10) and the other end coupled to a femoral stem(2) inserted into a femoral region(1) and made of alumina ceramic material. The outer head has a smooth surface effective in free sliding and is prepared by chromium-cobalt alloy or stainless steel for enduring friction with the pelvic bone(8).
