Conveyor system for article containers, especially luggage containers

The conveyor (6) for luggage at an airport has two spaced conveyor belts, at least one of which is driven. The luggage is fed freely along both conveyors. The conveyor has a lateral unloading feed formed by a slide rail (5) with a remotely controlled connecting coupling (4) which can engage predefined luggage at the beginning of the rail and release it at the end. This allows the luggage to be lifted at one side from the adjacent conveyor and tilted.
