A hanger plate 2 for a sliding door 3 is made of tough resilient plastics such as nylon and secured to the upper edge of the door 3 and has formed integrally therewith an upwardly projecting tongue 7 which abutts against a fixed door stop 8 to limit the movement of the door. The tongue 7 is tapered in thickness towards the end and is arranged so that area of engagement with the stop moves progressively towards the base of the tongue as this latter bends. The plate may have a metal insert for the suspension bolt 5, embedded in the plate 2. |
