PURPOSE: A fault management system in a mobile communication network is provided to send a fault notification message to a system operator or manager's MS(Mobile Station) in the form of a short message, based on the system associated information of an NMS(Network Management System), in case that various faults occur. CONSTITUTION: A fault management system in a mobile communication network consists of a network management server(120), an NMS(130), a notification object DB(135), and an SMSC(140). The network management server(120) executes the network management function of the mobile communication network, composed of an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(11), an HLR(Home Location Register)(13), a DCS(Digital Cross connection System)(15), and an SCP(Service Control Point)(17). The NMS(130), executing a system monitoring function together with the network management server(120), creates and displays system associated information, containing fault details and a fault class, when a fault occurs in the mobile communication network. The notification object DB(135) stores the MIN(Mobile Identification Number) information of system operators or managers' MSs(42-46) to send the system associated information. The SMSC(140) processes the system associated information in the form of a short message according to a request from the NMS(130) and sends it to the MSs(42-46), based in the MIN information stored in the notification object DB(135). |
