PURPOSE: To prevent line catch from a gap between two operating members in a rotor-braking device of a spinning reel while suppressing the elevation of cost. CONSTITUTION: This lever-braking mechanism 6 of the spinning reel for braking the rotation of the rotor in line-delivering direction is equipped with a brake part 16, brake lever 17, predetermined brake part 21, supplementary lever 18, notched part 17e and blocking member 35. The brake part rotates coupled with the rotation of the rotor in its line-delivering direction. The brake lever is the lever for braking the rotor. The predetermined brake part switches over the rotation of the rotor in the line delivering direction to a brake-released state or predetermined braked state. The supplementary lever switches over the braked state of the predetermined braked state. The notched part is formed at the brake lever so as to open toward the rotor for surrounding the part of the suplementary lever from three sides. The blocking member is mounted at the opened part of the notched part and surrounds all sides of another lever together with the notched part.
