PURPOSE: A method for improving the soil for plant cultivation is provided, to allow bacteria and actinomyces useful for the cultivation of plants to remain in soil and to reduce remarkably dermatophytes harmful for the cultivation of plants. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of diluting a NaClO2 aqueous solution with a concentration of about 100,000 ppm with water to prepare a NaClO2 aqueous solution with a concentration of about 1,000 ppm; spreading the diluted solution with a concentration of about 2,000-2,500 L per 1 Qar on soil; letting the soil alone for about 5 days to two weeks after almost ClO2 gas is removed; drying the soil; and fertilizing the soil with composite and cultivating plants on the soil.
