PURPOSE: A trenchless tunneling method using a small-diameter horizontal excavator is provided to reduce the period and cost of works and to simplify tunnel excavation equipment. CONSTITUTION: The trenchless tunneling method using a small-diameter horizontal excavator comprises the steps of: installing primary and secondary working holes(WT1,WT2) on both openings of a tunnel, installing an AVT in the primary working hole(WT1) and installing a BM(Boring Machine) in the secondary working hole(WT2); excavating a small-diameter tunnel(T1) passing through the primary working hole and the secondary working hole through a rod(L) using the BM installed to the secondary working hole(WT2); coupling the front end of the rod(L) passing through the primary working hole(WT1) with a cutter head(CH) of the jacking pipe; and excavating a jacking pipe-burying tunnel(T2) along the primary small-diameter tunnel(T1) having the pre-excavated rod(L).
