Opening and closing device for a container door

The device is fitted to the door (2) of a container (1) and incorporates locking tabs (7-10) at corners of two plates (5,6). A common drive for push-rods (11,12) secure the tabs in open and closed positions. Each tab is moved into a recess (34) in one of the walls (32,33) of the container for locking. A central disc (13) is rotated by motor-driven pins working in arcuate slots (14,15) and causing the plates to follow curved paths. The tabs are coupled to walls of the door by links (16-23) with ends working into recesses (24-31) in the plates.
