PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pole for communication cable protection capable of safely protecting cables without a detachment of a cable protection cover from the electric pole when the electric pole is shocked externally. SOLUTION: This electric pole for communication cable protection comprises an upper body and a lower body, and the upper body is fastened to the lower body by a bolt 21 and a nut 22. A cable-embedding groove 11, which indents inside of the lower body in the length direction and has a half-circle cross section, is provided to one side direction of the periphery of the lower body 10 from the bottom end to the upper edge. The cable protection cover 12, to which a plurality of hinges 13 is attached on one side, is attached to the lower body 10 using the hinges 13 so as to cover the cable-embedding groove 11.
