<p>PURPOSE: An optical member is provided to achieve smooth wipe of the top of a water-repellent film and to remove stains on the water-repellent film with a cloth. CONSTITUTION: An optical member comprises an optical substrate, a multilayered anti-reflection film provided on the optical substrate, and a water-repellent layer provided on the outermost layer of the multilayered anti-reflection film. The outermost layer of the multilayered anti-reflection film is a layer containing silicon dioxide as a major component. The water-repellent layer further includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer contains a fluorine-substituted alkyl group-containing organosilicon compound and a silicon-free perfluoropolyether as major components. The second layer is provided on the first layer and which is in direct contact therewith, which contains, as a major component, a silicon-free perfluoropolyether.</p> |
