PURPOSE: A back light of a liquid crystal display is provided to increase the surface area of a lamp electrode to extend the left of a lamp and widen an effective light-emitting region. CONSTITUTION: A back light of a liquid crystal display includes a lamp having an electrode(1). The electrode has one of rod, pipe and cup shapes. Screw threads are formed on the surface of the electrode. The screw threads have irregular heights and are arranged at an irregular distance. The electrode is formed at one side or both sides of the lamp. The electrode has a body(3) and an outer part(5) on which the screw threads are formed. |
