DIAL KNOB ASSEMBLY FOR CONTROL PANEL OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A dial knob assembly of a control panel for a washing machine is provided to protect the control panel by restricting shock from being transmitted to the control panel in applying impact to a dial knob. CONSTITUTION: A dial knob assembly is composed of a dial knob(34) having a rotating shaft; a housing(440) formed in the outer periphery of the dial knob; and a reinforcing part(442) installed in the inside of the housing and placed in the lower part of the dial knob. The lamp housing is made of plastic or synthetic resin with high rigidity, and the reinforcing part is installed entirely in the inner periphery of the lamp housing. Impact applied to the dial knob is distributed by the reinforcing part, and reduced considerably in the control panel. Thus, breakage of the control panel is prevented with relieving impact by the reinforcing part.
