Process and apparatus for the formation of alkaline earth carbonates

Production of an alkaline earth carbonate in aqueous liquids comprises using a device delivering an electrical current. A current lead (21) on at least one electrode (22) of the device in partial contact with the lead and electrode is made from non-coated titanium. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Device for producing an alkaline earth carbonate in aqueous liquids; and (2) Water treatment arrangement containing the above device.
