Flat gasket with metallic support, in particular for combustion engines

The metal gasket for use in IC engines has three apertures. The central, larger aperture (3) is fitted with a sealing ring (5) which seals the gap between the edge of the aperture and two components which are fastened together and is uncompressed. The two outer, smaller apertures (4) have sealing rings (5') which fit with play around other components and are compressed. A peripheral sealing ring (11) seals the gasket into the engine casing.
