PURPOSE: A method for providing a multimedia message and a combinational short message is provided to achieve various message services by combining multimedia data or text data with a short message transmitted from a service user, creating a new multimedia message or a combinational short message, and providing this new multimedia message or combinational short message to a receiver terminal. CONSTITUTION: A service user makes out a short message(430) using a portable terminal(410) or a computer(420), appoints a receiver terminal(460), and gives a transmission order for the text-type short message(430). A message center(440) creates a multimedia message in cooperation with a multimedia library unit(450), based on the short message(430) transmitted from the service user's terminal(410,420). The multimedia library unit(450), composed of a plurality of multimedia sub components, provides reference data to create a multimedia message(470) from the short message. |
