The vehicle has an electrical drive system and a rechargeable battery block (5), a drive system control unit (8) and a batte block data memory (10). The drive system can be connected to the battery block so that the data in the data memory can be read b the control unit and the data memory can be written to by control unit signals. The drive system and battery block can be connec together with a single coupling plug connector.
