HIGH-RESOLUTION DISPLAY INCLUDING PIXEL MOVER

PURPOSE: A high-resolution display including a pixel mover is provided to rapidly move pixels in horizontal and vertical directions using a pixel moving optical system to produce a display capable of displaying images in a high resolution. CONSTITUTION: A high-resolution display includes an illumination optical system(101) having a light source(31) for emitting lights, and an image optical system(103) having an image forming device that modulates lights emitted from the illumination optical system to form an image. The display further includes a pixel moving optical system(105) having a ring-shape prism array(35) that deflects lights transmitted from the image optical system to move pixels constructing the image so as to increase the number of pixels, and a projection optical system(107) having a projection lens(37) for projecting the lights deflected by the pixel moving optical system on a screen(39).
