The fastener for a lace (3, 3') comprises a hollow component (6) with a guide channel (7) running through it. A wedging component (8) is biased by a spring (9) so that it prevents the lace from being pulled in the same direction as the bias while letting it run free in the other direction. The hollow component is contained in a casing (12) which has a stop (14) on the other side of the wedging component to the spring. A latch (13) fitted to the top of the casing which presses the hollow component against the wedging component and lace when it is closed. |
